Richard is a full time Professor at the Lamont School of Music at the University of Denver. His students have gone on to orchestral jobs, fellowships and doctoral programs around the country. Students enjoy success in competitions at the national and international level such as the Big 12 Conference and the International Trombone Association.

The Artist Diploma is a 2 year program is a 2 year course designed for instrumentalists who beginning of their professional careers.
